Terms of use
The license that applies to Upcoming, and practical information about using it.
1. Your app license
Upcoming is licensed under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). That agreement is between you and the application provider identified for Upcoming in the App Store. It governs your license, including permitted use, external services, termination, warranties, and liability. This page does not replace it with a custom EULA or change any rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Clay Circuit Studios LLC publishes this website and provides Upcoming support. Contact ben@claycircuitstudios.com with questions about the app.
2. Features and purchases
Upcoming 4.0 includes all features without a subscription or in-app purchase. It does not require an Upcoming account. iCloud sync and shared countdowns depend on an Apple Account, iCloud availability, compatible devices, and an internet connection.
If you made a purchase in an earlier version, Apple handled the transaction under the terms shown at purchase. Any existing Apple subscription must be managed in your Apple Account; upgrading or deleting an app does not itself cancel one. Requests concerning Apple billing or refunds can be made through Apple’s purchase support. If a future version offers paid features, its price and terms will be disclosed before purchase.
3. Your content and shared countdowns
You retain your rights to content you create. Use only content you have permission to store or share, and respect other people’s privacy and intellectual property. When you choose to sync or share, you authorize the processing needed to deliver those features through Apple’s services. We do not claim ownership of your countdowns, messages, or photos.
Participants can see shared content, and recipients may save or forward it. Choose recipients carefully. Do not use Upcoming to threaten or harass people, distribute unlawful content, infringe others’ rights, or interfere with services. Use sharing controls to stop sharing or leave a countdown, and contact support to report a problem. We may have limited ability to investigate content held in private iCloud databases.
4. Reminders, syncing, and availability
Reminder delivery and widget updates depend on device settings, system scheduling, and operating-system behaviour. iCloud syncing and sharing may be delayed or interrupted. Keep independent reminders and backups for important dates and information. Upcoming is not intended as an emergency, medical, or other safety-critical alert service.
Features may change as the app and the services it depends on evolve. Applicable warranties, limitations, and consumer protections are addressed by the standard EULA and the law that applies to you.
5. Third-party services and privacy
Apple services, Unsplash photo search, and other external services have their own applicable terms. Photos sourced from Unsplash remain subject to the Unsplash license and any other rights in the image. Our privacy policy describes iCloud content, analytics, diagnostics, support requests, and your data choices.
6. Updates and support
We will update the effective date when this page changes. Changes do not retroactively remove statutory rights or replace the standard EULA. Visit Upcoming support or email ben@claycircuitstudios.com for assistance.
